At this point, And Rosta and Craig Daniel have indicated conditional 
willingness to serve on the Board.  I can add my name, and I'd like to 
be able to count on mukti.  But even with Craig and And, that brings in 
no "new blood", and we need to develop some new people who will lead the 
community, preferably more actively than I have managed.

I will propose that gleki continue on the Board.  He has been as active 
as anyone in participating.  He seems reluctant to get involved in 
anything that is tied to the legal requirements of a corporation in part 
because he doesn't know American law.

I also propose that guskant also be added to the Board, probably with 
the same limitations as gleki.  I see lots of ideas and strong opinions, 
and we need to be considering those.

We need a Board that has do-ers (lo zukte), and not just talkers (lo 
casnu).

We need at least one more person who IS willing to be involved in 
corporation business, because I need to pass the Presidency on to 
someone at some point.  At present mukti could possibly do the job in 
addition to Secretary/Treasurer, but I strongly recommend against that, 
since trying to do both jobs at once was a major reason for my burnout 
in the 90s.  We also would need a Bylaw change to allow a person to hold 
multiple offices.  (I did not ever hold the Secretary job, but I had to 
do it because Nora did not have the time above and beyond producing 
annual meeting minutes).  We need someone to serve as Vice President, 
preferably with more willingness to act than And Rosta has had.

So can I have responses from guskant and gleki on whether they accept my 
nomination, and can we have some additional volunteers and/or nominations.

I will allow until end of day Monday for additional names, unless there 
is a request for more time.
