It could show someone what his weak areas are. Testing listening proficiency could be done with an audio clip followed by written questions, similarly to reading proficiency with a reading passage. Testing speaking proficiency would also be good, but I don't know how to do it. I originally thought that the test could be given entirely in Lojban, but beginners may need instructions or questions in other languages. As Lojbanists' native languages are various, including Finnish and Japanese which aren't in the same language family as any of the source languages, this would require translating questions, which requires some fields in the database that I hadn't anticipated.
