Hands down the best restaurant in the Dalles!  There was a saloon style bar with painted glass accents as you walk in.  The walls are made of red brick... We often pass through The Dalles on our way to visit family in Eastern Oregon, the last two times we've stopped for either lunch of dinner at this... This is a new restaurant at the same location as a previously failed restaurant/bar, despite being on a popular restaurant rescue television reality show.... We have wanted to try something different when in the Dalles, stopped in for some pub food and a beer. We always ask for recommendations and the server... Best burgers around, nice and juicy. The staff are nice and helpful, when it is your first time trying Big JIMS . Found this place on Yelp as we're driving home from Portland and boy was it worth the short drive. I had the baked Mac n Cheese with Panchetta and it was... Probably one of my favorite restaurants in Hood River, the place is lively but quiet enough to have a nice dinner with a friend. The tonkotsu has a creamy, perfect white broth.....eats:..tonkotsu ramen, add egg..salmon carpaccio..shrimp and avocado... I LOVED THIS PLACE. Such a great place for a night out with friends or a date night. The restaurant is cute. There's always a wait but moves fairly fast.... I thought I'd give this place another try just because it is the 1 halal option in Chinatown. I'm pleased to say that I actually really enjoyed the food the...
