Addition of new menu and chefs have made dramatic improvements this year. While still a \"barbecue \" restaurant,  the well chosen and prepared seafood and... One the best places I have ever experienced.  The food is always top shelf...The menu is imaginative, fresh, and local...The chef has natural talent. I'm still in disbelief over what Spruce Pine has to offer the food and beer/cocktail scene. Spoon is one of those solid offerings from this teeny-tiny... If it weren't for the quirky service and long wait for our drinks, I would give this little gem 5 stars. Our main server was so sweet, but it seemed as... I was hesitant to go here with some of the poor reviews, but a local said it was great so figured what the heck the menu looked good and location was... I was REALLY excited about eating here, but ended up being VERY disappointed. I ordered smoked wings, baked beans, and corn on the cob. My wings were hard,... Somehow this place manages to survive in the middle of a parking lot.  The food is nothing impressive ... think chicken quesadilla level of impressiveness.... Great food. Decent prices and never a wait. They have about 8- 10 registers and always fully staffed. The employees are friendly. Came in very hungry...Decided on a Phillysteak calzone...\"Mo\" took my order and said \"10 minutes\"...Ten minutes later I was given ONE OF THE BEST CALZONES I... When ordering a $20 salad I expect the lettus to be chopped up...at least give it a couple of chops.  That being said even highly rated resturants in...
