The next installme= nt of the ACS Science and Human Rights series will feature Sarina Rosenthal= of Scholars at Risk (SAR). SAR is a network of = over 450 universities in 37 countries that promotes academic freedom and su= pports threatened scholars through advocacy, research and learning, & p= rotection. In recent years, SAR has created approximately 100 placements fo= r threatened scholars a year. 
 
This we= binar will have: 
  • General overview of the work of Scholar= s at Risk 
  • Description of how SAR reviews applications for ass= istance from threatened scholars 
  • Explanation of how SAR staff= does outreach within the network to identify positions of academic refuge&= nbsp;
  • Discussion on SAR scholars in the chemical sciences
