A lot of people right now are wondering what "re-opening the economy" means for them. Do you get to go out? What businesses will re-open? While a lot of those questions are still up in the air, there is one thing you can be certain about. We are going to have widespread manditory body temperature tests when you are out in public. If you have a fever, you will be asked to return home.

If you're like me, you don't want to put other people at risk and you don't want to be singled-out by health officials if their thermometer says you have a fever. Talk about stressful! If you test your temperature every day before leaving the house, that won't happen.

How can I avoid getting singled out in a temperature test?

Start by getting your hands on the same thermometer that the health professionals are using. That way you know that your reading in the morning is accurate and you are doing everything you can for yourself and your family. Here is a link to an article with specs on the current government-recommended infrared thermometer. You can get one there.

Whatever you do, stay safe. It is a weird world out there right now but we can get through it together.
