OK, I found enough info.

Based on emails attached and what I wrote at
https://docs.goo= gle.com/document/d/1gjSRT9K_DKDVELwGrnNtrx31lEnK5-17uYaehRaAJWw/edit , it looks like KDP is used for Amazon (both print and ebook) and
Ingram Spark is used for every other book seller.=C2=A0 I no longer
recall why I did it that way; possible so "look inside this book"=
would work.

It also looks like this has been broken since 2021; an email thread
is attached in which no-one followed up after my last reply, as far
as I can tell.

If someone gets me the current treasurer@lojabn.org password for
Amazon, I can probably get this working.

To add to this:

a.=C2=A0 Literally any major book seller *except* Amazon should be
working.

b.=C2=A0 Ingram Spark has filled orders within the last month.

OK, so, there's a bunch of things going on here.

I was keeping all this information in
https://docs.goo= gle.com/document/d/1gjSRT9K_DKDVELwGrnNtrx31lEnK5-17uYaehRaAJWw/edit , but it seems to have fallen out of date somewhat, and also it
looks like it was flat-out wrong in some places.

1.=C2=A0 The account that is probably directly relevant here is our
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 Kindle Direct Publishing account, but when I try to log in th= ere
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 with the info in the quarterly books document, I get:

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 Enter the One Time Password (OTP) that has been sent t= o a phone number ending in 557

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 , which as far as I know is not a phone number that is mine o= r
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 has ever been mine.=C2=A0 This is for our Amazon account, for= treasurer@lojban= .org

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 So whoever has that phone needs to investigate that.

2.=C2=A0 We appear to have an old, unused Lightning Source account; in
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 the meantime we got moved to Ingram Spark.=C2=A0 I have updat= ed the
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 document to try to reflect this, but the the lightning source=
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 account with account number 6020176 is, as far as I can tell,= no
=C2=A0 =C2=A0 longer relevant at all.

=C2=A0 =C2=A0 According to Ingram Spark, everything is fine:

We can order direct from Ingram Spark (which is what our Lightning
Source account is called now, basically), but they can't; see

I'm not sur= e who is handling Lightning Source CLL orders issues.

I just got a call from someone who is trying to order a copy CLL as a
gift.=C2=A0 amazon.com supposedly says that next day delivery is available, but he waited several days with no response, and amazon has no idea.
Barnes and Noble then told him it was print on demand and they had no
idea what was wrong or when the book would be available.=C2=A0 Do we have <= br> some kind of annual contract that needs to be renewed or something?=C2=A0 I= f
someone knows something and can check, it would be appreciated.=C2=A0 There=
is an email in the l= ojban@lojban.org account from Feiad Mohammed

please copy me so I know it has been dealt with.

BTW, can people order direct from Lightning Source?=C2=A0 Or only from a bo= ok
retailer?

So our EPUB didn't pass any of the automated tests that Ingram Spark specified (oops).=C2=A0 This led to major revisions in terms of the
markup details of all versions except the PDF, but especially the
EPUB.=C2=A0 We now roll our own EPUB by hand (it turns out it's just a<= br> specially formatted zip file with XHTML in it, so we just use the
section-chunked version of the CLL plus a bunch of post-processing).

There were also some bug fixes to the content; see
http://lojban.org/publications/cll/CHANGELOG for com= plete details of
the latest revision.=C2=A0 Props to 101001000100001 for the great catch
(we had things like "Example 5.5" in a few places that were raw t= ext
instead of links, and hence completely wrong).

Oh, also, I added a changelog.=C2=A0 :D

I have just uploaded the EPUB and print versions 2016-06-12 to
Ingram Spark.

Assuming that all goes well with those uploads (and in particular
that they show up on Amazon as two versions of the same book, a
point abuot which I am extremely skeptical), I'm pretty much done
with CLL work.

Like, "hey Robin you're the one most familiar with the process can=
you roll new versions?" is fine, but I've lost literally hundreds<= br> (probably over a thousand) hours of my life to this thing, so now
that it's up and running I'm basically out.
