SPINCon North America, the conf= erence for members of the Sen= ior Planners Industry Network (SPIN), started as an experiment in doing= meetings differently, and it will continue to shake things up this summer = in Telluride, Colorado, July 11-13.

To REGISTER or find out= more information, visit http://spincon.spinplanners= =2Ecom

The conference will start the m= inute attendees land in Montrose, Colorado, about an hour away from Telluri= de. As they disembark, SPIN members can "Lighten the Load" by donating needed items to a local Montr= ose charity collecting at the airport. While on the shuttle bus, attendees = will get to network and learn during their "Knowledge Transfers."

3D"Tucker"SPIN members will be challenge= d throughout the conference to think strategically, but not just about thei= r meetings and events. They will be challenged to present themselves differ= ently to their stakeholders and peers. Of course, there will be some fun mi= xed in, like Tucker's Social Media Lounge. Tucker is the yellow lab who bel= ongs to the Telluride Conference Center's manager, so those who need to che= ck their email and tweets or charge their devices can also get a friendly p= aw shake or a lick on the face. In a very dog-friendly town, Tucker will be= the ambassador for the canine-human connection.

The educational sessions, selected by an advisory commit= tee of members, will focus on innovation in technology, strategy, solutions= and marketing. With 14,000-foot peaks as a backdrop, some of the sessions = will move outdoors, while others will go without chairs. Of course, some of= the best education comes from listening to your peers, so plenty of time w= ill be given for attendees to discover from each other.

Even the hosted buyer program has a twist: suppliers an= d planners will complete their appointments virtually (via Skype, FaceTime = or Google+) in the two weeks leading up to the conference. Participants wil= l develop relationships before the conference and solidify them further whi= le onsite.

Every conference should have at= tendees feeling like winners, so SPINCon's technology partner, EventMobi, i= s creating a game app jus= t for this conference that will include questions about session content as = well as the destination, and will include points for meeting sponsor exhibi= tors. Winners will be tallied real time and announced just before everyone = adjourns on Friday. That Friday the 13th will be lucky for someone in atten= dance!
