Well, first of all it is not right to compare eras. There are always two sides to the argument. Just as you are right in saying that they are better athletes now, the reason is due to knowledge of training techniques and advances in coaching and technology etc. Who is to say that had Borg grew up in todays era (eg. same age as Djokovic/Rafa) that he wouldn't be an absolute physical beast given the same advantages that modern players get? These guys dominated back then the same way todays guys dominate. Borg was incredible, winning FO and Wimby back to back, no one had done that like he did. How good would Djokovic and Rafa been had they grown up in that era?? They would have known less, trained less etc. The grips and techniques they have worked for their time. And Rafa would have a very hard time playing with a woody given his grips, same with DJoko. It's all relative. Appreciate the greats, because in 20 years time your kids will not appreciate how good DJ and Rafa are when they are watching tomorrows , yet we all know how amazing they are now.
