How many of us know exactly where the CLL 1.1 and the Dictionary project are. - The important bit here is that they will be able to both recruit and screen volunteers from the community. I have seen many volunteers in the community who want to help, but they can't because there isn't a designa= ted person to approach. The actual responsibilities are all decentralized wh= ich makes it difficult for newcomers to contribute. It will also shield actu= al workers from people who come on and then disappear. - Maintain deadlines and road-maps that can be disseminated to the internet and within the lojban and conlang communities and can be used t= o get more people interested. The problem is, as I said in the opening post, that right now one of our biggest problem is that people in charge of all the projects all have day jobs and all are volunteers. Which hasn't affected their work as much but it has made it difficult to communicate with others. Which is why a single point-of-contact can be beneficial. The problem isn't that people aren't engaged: They ARE. It's just that all the material is scattered and the people who want to work have no single recourse. The fact that we have the community split into mailing list, IRC and facebook now doesn't help either.
