Over the past few months, we have made several enhancements in areas like delivery convenience, customer service and our fulfillment network in an effort to continually raise the bar for Amazon customers. Here are just a few ways Amazon is working for you: - To keep inventory close to customers and expand global reach, we have added new fulfillment centers worldwide, including in California, Virginia, Spain and Germany. - Amazon also continues to be the gold standard in customer convenience with programs such as Amazon delivery lockers, which are currently available in Seattle, New York, London, and California, and Local Express Delivery, which delivers products to customers on the day they ordered them in select regions. - Amazon continues to add new benefits to the Amazon Prime subscription service – and as more customers become Prime members, it means more exposure for your FBA products. Recent additions to Prime benefits include thousands of new streaming movies and television shows, the Kindle Owners' Lending Library and new expedited shipping options. ------------------------------ Promote your brand for the holidays with new multi-channel branding features As an FBA seller, you can use Multi-Channel Fulfillment to fulfill orders both on and off Amazon.com from a single pool of inventory. Are you already using Multi-Channel Fulfillment? It's quick and easy to enable unbranded boxes and branded packing slips. In your Multi-Channel Fulfillment Settings (sign in required), enter your Merchant Name and optional text for the packing slip. You can disable the service at any time. If your total shipment weight is more than 130 pounds, Amazon's partnered less than truckload (LTL) carrier program offers discounted rates for deliveries within the 48 contiguous United States. Actual shipping costs may vary from any estimates, and you are responsible for the actual costs. Sellers enabled for Amazon-partnered LTL will have the option to choose it as their shipping method when creating an inbound shipment. To be eligible to use an Amazon-partnered LTL carrier, you must have a dock or forklift to enable placing pallets on a truck and be able to support a truck coming to your pickup address. While many businesses were disrupted by the hurricane, we are glad to report that the FBA team was able to help keep orders flowing and minimize the impact on sellers’ businesses. We fulfilled the vast majority of customer orders on time thanks to our strategic inventory placement, which spreads products to fulfillment centers across the country. Fulfillment centers in unaffected regions were able to assist our locations on the East Coast, so that deliveries could continue uninterrupted. ------------------------------ Tools & Tips ------------------------------ Reach new customers around the world with Global Selling with Amazon Selling globally just got easier with our new Global Selling with Amazon guide. You can list and sell your products on any of our websites in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, China, and Japan, and reach customers in many more locations as well. You can access various tools and services, including product listing tools and the Amazon European Marketplaces Account. Global fulfillment centers: Amazon has fulfillment centers in several countries throughout the world and LTLoffers various services to help you make the most of them. Online order management: Amazon supports you by supplying reports to help you run your business and a Seller Central portal, which provides helpful tools and information, such as at-a-glance order status, messages from buyers, and seller-coaching tips. Simple shipping: Amazon has established relationships with service providers such as freight forwarders and customs brokers, making it easier to ship your inventory. The Global Selling with Amazon guide is available in printer-friendly PDF and as a free download on Kindle. Global Selling with Amazon manual (pdf) Global Selling with Amazon manual (Kindle) ------------------------------ Stay eligible to sell through the entire holiday season FBA sellers in good standing are not subject to the same holiday season restrictions as other sellers . We can help you sell and fulfill orders right up to the end of the holiday season, where hours count. But it is still important to monitor your customer metrics and take corrective action when necessary. Excessive order defect rates (negative feedback, A-to-z Guarantee claims and chargebacks) can cause account suspensions and even account closures, especially in the Toys and Games category. Check your feedback and A-to-z Guarantee claim pages daily and proactively resolve any issues. Make sure your e-mail contact information is up-to-date in your seller account and confirm that Amazon e-mail is not being filtered as spam by your e-mail program or ISP. It is important to make sure you are receiving all e-mails so that we can inform you if trouble arises or provide you with the stock status of your products --especially if you are planning to read those e-mails on the beach during your holiday vacation. ------------------------------ Near real-time tracking now available for your FBA shipments You can now keep better tabs on your small parcel shipments inbound to Amazon fulfillment centers from the Seller Central Shipping Queue. If you have uploaded shipment tracking numbers in the shipment creation workflow, you can now view detailed carrier tracking events and shipment status. Shipment tracking is built in if you participate in our partnered carrier program. From the Shipping Queue page, click the "View & Track" button - you will then be directed to the Summary page of the shipment creation workflow. From the "Summary" page, select the "Box Summary" tab. In the Box Summary, you will be able to expand each row to view every carrier status event from the time the shipment is picked up to the time it is received at the fulfillment center. Learn more about the benefits of Inbound Visibility for Small Parcel and LTL Shipments . ------------------------------ Planning inventory levels for peak Last year in late November and early December, Amazon customer response to FBA offers was so strong that FBA sellers went out of stock on many critical products. To help avoid such stock-outs, this upcoming holiday season, we are providing sellers with a list of your ASINs that went out of stock during the peak sales period last year. Sellers who sold more than 100 products during the peak holiday period last year and had at least one of those ASINs go out of stock in that period, will receive their list of ASINs by e-mail. Alternately, you can go directly to the report in the Featured Opportunities section of the Amazon Selling Coach. Only sellers who meet the criteria above will have information populated in the report. As you plan for this holiday shopping season, please remember that Amazon customers show heavy demand for FBA products right up to the shipping cut-off date for December 24 delivery. Please consider the amount of inventory needed to meet this demand for all of your FBA products deep into December.
