Streamlined shipment creation and inventory management tools

Hello Logical Language Group,

In early January, we announced some important additions to Seller Central based on feedback from FBA sellers like you. These changes streamline two key sets of tasks: shipment creation and inventory management. As a result of these changes, we’ll be phasing out the original shipment workflow on March 31, 2014.

This week, your account will default to the new Shipment Creation Workflow in Seller Central rather than the old shipment creation workflow.

You’ll still be able to do everything that you’ve been accustomed to doing in the existing tools. Any shipments that you have created in the old workflow will automatically be available in the new workflow, so you won’t lose any data in this transition. If you have been using the Inbound Shipment File Upload Tool for uploading larger shipments, you will also need to download a template file that is compatible with the new Shipment Creation Workflow.

Note: If you integrate directly with our APIs through Marketplace Web Services (MWS), APIs remain unchanged.

The new Shipment Creation Workflow features a redesign to improve ease of use, reduce steps, and better align with Amazon requirements for shipments to our fulfillment centers. Sellers using the new Shipment Creation Workflow access many benefits, including shipment tracking and research tools, fewer shipments encountering issues, access to on-demand product prep services, integration with upload templates, and more.

Streamlined Amazon inventory management

In addition to the changes mentioned above, key inventory management features have been consolidated in a single view on the Manage Inventory page, and the Manage FBA Inventory page will be retired later this year. Learn more
