What You Should Know About Importing Goods to Europe

Selling in the European Union with FBA can provide a great opportunity to expand your reach using a single pool of inventory. Before taking advantage of Amazon's European Fulfillment Network, it's wise to brush up on the rules and regulations you may face when importing goods into or within the European Union.

First, make sure you comply with all customs laws and regulations in the EU and in the specific EU country to which the goods are imported. Importation rules may differ depending on the EU country to which the goods are sent and the type of shipping you choose. It is strongly recommended that you hire a logistics provider, such as a customs broker or freight forwarder, of your choice. This provider can handle the import process and help you understand import requirements for your shipment.

Please note that you are not authorized to import your goods in the name of Amazon or to show Amazon as the declarant, importer of record, or consignee on any customs documentation. If this occurs, your shipments will, at Amazon's discretion, be abandoned, destroyed, or returned to their origin at your cost.
