I'm still in pain, but we need to move on.  Short version is that I had 
a severe attack of tendonitis last Monday that got worse and erupted 
into very painful muscle spasm by midweek, along with some involvement 
in the nerves of my right arm.  My right hand is numb and weak and 
quavering, so that typing is difficult.  I'm on painkillers and muscle 
relaxant, which makes me kinda spaced out.  It may be slowly getting 
better, but it'll likely take time.  I've had a tendency for tendonitis 
ever since I worked on the first draft textbook back in 1989 (one of the 
reasons why I had to stop).  Long hours focused intensely on the 
computer are not good.

There are 20 members on the list.  Dave Barton was reported to be 
recently deceased, leaving 19.  I count 16 responding. Jay Kominek, 
Stephen Weeks, are missing, but Stephen was removed last year, and Jay 
some time earlier.  Someone needs to update the list on the website.  We 
have 17 voting members, with 16 reporting present.

Most important, Robin Powell seems to be missing.

So we have a quorum, though we need reports from Robin as secretary and 
as byfy chair, and I have to get something typed up for a presidents 
report, so we may progress rather slowly in those areas.  Anyone who 
sees Robin on irc, please remind him.

No one has submitted a meeting summary from last year or a motion 
regarding the death of Dave Barton.

There are no proposals for new voting members.

Officer reports are delayed.  Because of my own inactivity, I can't say 
as much as I would like.  So, anyone who wishes may speak up and list 
what they think are the major facets of where LLG and the language are 
now, and key problems that the members may want to consider.

Committees and Projects

Pierre, can you report on your LBCK language proficiency committee?

Ali, can you report on the 25 anniversary celebration, which you 
organized (I'm still waiting for the pictures %^).

Any other committees or projects?

Anyone who can speak to the status of the work on revising CLL?  I know 
something is being done, based on messages to the list, but little more 
than that.

John Cowan has been involved with the Loglan organization (TLI) at times 
during the last year.  Perhaps he can report on what is going on and 
opine as to future relations with TLI.

Board election

The current directors are:

LeChevalier, Robert (also serving ex officio as Virginia State
representative)
Vilva, Veijo
Powell, Robin Lee
Johansen, Arnt Richard
Paulssen, Timo

If any of the current Board members is NOT seeking reelection, please
speak up.  If anyone not on the Board wants to serve, please speak up. 
Any nominations for people not present?  If so, please try to get them 
to be in attendance.  I'll allow 3 days (until the end of Thursday) for 
nominations; otherwise the existing directors will be considered as a 
slate.

We can have up to 7 members of the Board.  The Board has been unchanged 
for several years.  We may wish to think about how to get more people 
involved in the organization for the long term.

This board election will be for a short term, since hopefully we will 
start the 2014 meeting this summer.  It is possible for someone to move 
that this meeting constitute both the 2013 and 2014 meetings, in which 
case we would not meet again until 2015.  I am not sure if this is 
legal, and call upon John Cowan as parliamentarian to opine.

That'll have to be enough for now.
