resolution to the case."Dear Lord, we are just here for Mr. and
Mrs. Musselman. We just pray that you will give the justice system

this flyover."A 24-hour FBI command center will monitor the latest counterterrorism
intelligence, said Aaron Ford, head of the FBI's Newark office. Ford told
WPIX-TV the effort is "an unprecedented collaboration" between 35 agencies.Measures
have been taken to protect power grids and to make sure there's
plenty of backup energy in case of another blackout like the one
last year at the game in New Orleans, said Jeffrey Miller, the
NFL's head of security. In Manhattan, the NYPD is drawing on its experience
securing the annual New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square, the New
York City Marathon, the U.N. General Assembly and other high-profile events
to secure "Super Bowl Boulevard," a 13-block street fair on Broadway. The
department has deployed hundreds of extra uniformed and plainclothes police
officers to the area. It's also relying on bomb-sniffing dogs, portable
radiation detectors and a vast network of surveillance cameras to detect
trouble. On Friday, the FBI said it was investigating a suspicious powder
mailed to several locations in New York and New Jersey, including at

jihadis follow the ins and outs of the war, but "what people

linked to armed warfare," Chouet said. Combine conviction and romanticism
and "you give yourself an image boost."Two of the three young men
on trial last week denied their goal was jihad, and all three
said their intention was to film war widows and massacres of children.
They bought much of their gear on sites for hiking and fishing.Court
testimony showed the three -- two of whom live with their parents

One of the defendants, Fares Farsi, 21 but 19 at the time,
refused to go by land because of possible car sickness."I don't see
how I've been radicalized ...," as the charges claim, said another, Salah

VATICAN CITY Pope Francis has told members of a controversial missionary
movement that they must respect local customs and the guidance of local
bishops as they spread the faith.Francis met Saturday with several thousand
members of the Neocatechumenal Way, a community founded in Spain in the
1960s that seeks to train Catholic adults in their faith and is
known for sending large families as missionaries around the world. While
appreciating the movement's religious zeal, bishops in Japan, the Philippines
and elsewhere in Asia have accused the movement of wreaking chaos in
their dioceses and have tried to limit its activities. The Vatican has
also questioned its unusual liturgical practices.Francis encouraged 40 new
missionary teams but said their priority must be church unity, even at
the expense of their own practices.
