According to Gleki, he has about twenty people who are interested in lojban and are actively learning. What stops them is the lack of stuff available in Russian, which Gleki is rectifying and their lack of interaction with the North American body of lojbanists. I feel that we will be better off if we can involve both the Japanese and Russian lojbanist communities. Other, smaller but significant communities that might exist, based on my logs of #ckule include both German and French-speaking people. I would propose that we reach out, officially and create active "chapters" with them. People like Gleki are enthusiastic and if given work to do, will do it gladly and rather quickly. This can also help with promoting the language. Of course, this ties in with the discussion about promoting the language and the publication of the dictionary as well, because we certainly need dictionaries in more than one language. There is also a small South Asian community in Pakistan and India that is interested in lojban but the training materials being unsuitable to their learning style and being a bit out of date is a barrier as well. I am trying to fix that, but have not had enough time to do something substantial. --047d7b673e56aef93c04f31a1b74 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
