We have heard your concerns and questions about the difficulty of opening Lightning Source/CoreSource/Ingram Spark invoice, AR statement and pub comp statement files in Excel. To make it easier to do business with Ingram, we are implementing a change in our systems to automatically change all invoices and statements with .tsv extension to .xls extension, effective April 25. This improvement will enable your email software (e.g., Outlook, etc.) to automatically open these files in Excel. The following warning message may display in Excel.
The file you are trying to open, 'sales_comp.xls', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file Do you want to open the file now?
If the message appears, please select Yes to open in Excel.
If your company has updated your systems to automatically interface .tsv files into your financial systems, please update your systems to also interface .xls files into your financial systems, effective April 25.
Please contact your Client Service Representative if you have any questions. Thank you for your feedback that helped implement this improvement.
