    =0A The ACS National Meeting in Sa= n Francisco was notable for its international reach.  Over 3,500 inter= national chemical scientists, engineers, and allied practitioners attended,= with over 400 of them joining us for the IAC Reception on Sunday evening. = As part of its contributions to the meeting's success, IAC and the ACS Offi= ce of International Activities organized or co-sponsored seven symposia, co= nvened 4 soft-skills training sessions for Brazilian young scholars =0Astud= ying in the USA, conducted an experimental networking event for Chinese che= mists and allied practitioners, and initiated a 'soft launch' of the ACS In= ternational Chapter in South Korea – which the Council approved in Ap= ril in Dallas.   =0A
