Code: cp ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc.bak rm ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc The file should be recreated and you can then set up the Panel, wallpaper etc. and see if the 'Manage Print Jobs' icon appears once you have selected: a) 'System Tray Settings' | 'Display', and ticked all the 'Shown Item Categories' and 'Manage Print Jobs' b) 'System Tray Settings' | 'Entries', and changed 'Manage Print Jobs' to 'Always Visible' But, perhaps before you do that, have you checked that you have Oxygen selected for the widget style and for the icon theme (Kicker > 'System Settings' > 'Application Appearance')? Maybe try a few other themes to see what happens to the icon.
