I tried a recipe here recently off of one of those sites. It was'nt bad,but it was lacking in something, and I was disappointed. It ended up leaning very much toward the tomato end of the spectrum.I will admit that I am looking for the "canned flavor" type chili. As far as I can see,the only major difference is the use of "corn flour and Modified Food Starch".I used white navy beans.I soaked them in water in the fridge for better than 12 hours. No problem till I awoke in the morning. Those beans turned me into a virtual wind machine.Lol I can't imagine what I might have done wrong. Those beans were soft, but not mushy when I added to the chili.I did not use very much in the way of hot chilis,as I don't really enjoy chili that is too hot.Anybody have a reliable recipe for a good chili?
