It is good to use for quick daily testing of chlorine and pH. I use mine all the time. Then, once in awhile, I take out the big kit to check the alk, cya, etc. OTO is er and using it for most daily testing saves on my reagents for my K2006 kit. Of course, if you have a high CYA pool and thus have to run higher than normal chlorine levels on a regular basis, you'll have to use your K2006 kit for all of your chlorine testing. Someone else asked about frequency of testing. Here is what I do in my pool: Chlorine tested daily. pH tested most days but maybe not every single one. (If we have a lot of rain, my pH tends to drop and this is when I usually have to add Borax if at all. I never need muriatic acid in my pool. Actually, my pH is very consistent.) CYA tested frequently upon opening while I am trying to adjust my CYA level to where I want it. Then, I probably only test it maybe two more times during the rest of the summer. Alk is only tested maybe once a month unless I see my pH start bouncing around, which is rare. In that case, I check it more often.Calcium hardness is probably only tested once per year. My tap water is not particularly hard, I have a vinyl pool and I do not use cal-hypo. Hope that may help some people who are trying to figure out how often to test each thing. Of course, each pool is different so you have to do what makes sense for your situation.
