And I just can't get into it. I honestly didn't find it a challenging workout at all. I was trying to push myself but I couldn't seem to get my heart rate up or break much of a sweat. And I LOVE dancing. I'll go clubbing/dancing whenever possible and easily be on the dance floor for 3-5 hours. I'm in relatively good shape but IDK. Anyone else just not able to get into Zumba? And do you know why? Also, this is in no way to bash anyone who does do Zumba. Awesome if you think its fun and a great workout Lol, that's what I wish it was for me. I have been dancing tango for five months now and I still have the beginner's fever of trying new things. I watch tango figures daily for hours and before every tango class I try to practice them with one of my colleagues. This is how I come across Sentadas. I have finally managed to do two of them. Sentadas are not part of my course lessons, they will not be taught to us. I have been trying to research over the internet about their use, but found little useful. That is why I created an account here. I would like to know if it's ok to use Sentadas in Milongas (if there is space, of course). Are Sentadas acceptable in social dance? Or would I look like an attention-begger / arrogant? Tell me whatever you can about your experiences with Sentadas, what music they should be used with and when they should not be performed (aside from safety reasons, that is obvious).
