Remaining Old business. X-BeenThere: llg-members@lojban.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.18-1 Precedence: list List-Id: List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Reply-To: llg-members@lojban.org Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; Format="flowed" Errors-To: llg-members-bounces@lojban.org The motion reauthorizing BPFK passes, though there were several non-votes. (I'll leave it to Riley in lieu of the secretary to report the actual voting.) No one has spoken up expressing interest in either BPFK membership or the chairmanship. I (or possibly Riley) will post an announcement to the Lojban announcement list calling for candidates to contact me. Because this may take some time, I will not hold up the meeting awaiting it, but will pass it off to new business. Remaining Old Business items, some of which were discussed in the first IRC session, include the following that I mentioned at the time of the CLL 1.1 motion. >but worthy of discussion (after dealing with the motion), would be > 1) if/how we want to advertise and/or promote the new release > 2) whether the Lojban intro book needs to be amended or updated > 3) whether we want to seek to publish Nick Nicholas/Robin Turner's textbook via Lightning Source, and whether it needs to be amended/updated (probably at least to include xorlo) > Any/all of these topics are open for discussion at this time. It is not clear to me whether 2) or 3) are necessarily BPFK jobs, so we probably need volunteers if people want to see those books updated/(re)published. One other possible topic will be to find ways to expedite Pierre's committee effort designing the Lojban qualification test, which was mentioned in the BPFK discussion as a possible qualification for BPFK membership. But that can't happen unless the test is created. If anyone else has topics for Old Business, please speak up now. (New business topics include the Project manager proposal, and the BPFK appointments. I suspect that there were other things proposed for discussion that I said could be under New Business, but I can't find them.) I'll allow a couple of days for people to start discussion on any of the above topics or to propose other Old Business topics for discussion. lojbab _______________________________________________ Llg-members mailing list Llg-members@lojban.org http://mail.lojban.org/mailman/listinfo/llg-members
