That is actually the primary thread right now, adding new members prior 
to the Board of Directors elections

But since the time waiting to allow for motions to be made, any 
verifying needed, and then allowing time for objecting/voting can add up 
to a week (or possibly even more),  I figured that the rest of us could 
be discussing the next topic (the proposed Bylaw amendment) while that 
necessary waiting takes place.

So first of all, I need a motion from some member proposing Curtis for 
membership.  If such a motion is made within the next day or so, then 
I'll allow until end of day Tuesday for any objection.

Second of all, on the amendment, I see that Riley is accepting my 
proposal as a friendly amendment.  Unfortunately, since these are the 
Bylaws, someone needs to translate my amendment proposal into actual 
Bylaw wording.  If someone wants to take a stab at doing so, then we 
won't be held up waiting for me to get it done.  I think it will take a 
small modification to Riley's text, as well as some added words defining 
the new office, and an exception to the rules on officers holding 
multiple offices (It could be that Riley would approve of eliminating 
the multiple offices rule completely, since I think there is another 
such exception made in his proposed split of Secretary and Treasurer. 
But I think we need at least three different people serving as officers.)

We will need a second for the amendment, but that might as well wait 
until we have text for the final form before requesting that second, or 
the second will have to also approve the amended wording.

If no one else does it, I'll try for some wording myself tomorrow or Monday.

I'm working on it, and I think that I'll be able to make an actual 
statement on my health within a couple of days, since I think the 
members have some right to know what they can and can't expect of me as 
President (or even as only the Virginia representative).
