I can help with this if we go that route. I recently set up a "droplet" in DigitalOcean to serve as a backup mailserv= er = (and webserver, but I haven't put the website on it yet). It costs $10 a mo= nth = for 30 GB of storage. As it runs Linux (FreeBSD is also available), I can = install programs on it the same way I do on my server at a friend's house (= it = was at my house until I moved and could get only a satellite connection) or= my = laptop, except that it has no GUI (I look up package names in Synaptic and = run = apt-get on the server).
