For those, then, that may be interested I am an intermittent learner of lojban. I started back in the 90's and early 2000's, reviewed vocabulary periodically, and started back two or the years ago. I'm not progressing quickly, but I am working on it. I just have no one to practice with and the major changes that have occurred have been confusing.

Can you practice it online with others? If yes several months are enough to become a fluent speaker and I can drop the links.

I disagree that all members of the Board should be active lojban users. In fact having people invested in the continuance and improvement of this project who are not provides more variety of perspectives.

Please note that, like And, I'm willing to serve if the alternative is failure to elect a viable board, but my preference would be to not. I think the Lojban community would be better served by a board comprised in the main of active users of the language, and consider literally every LLG member who had written a full sentence of Lojban in the past year and is willing to do the job to be a good replacement for my seat.

But I'm not seeing a forest of hands springing up, and if I'm necessary, here I stand.

I was seriously screwed up as to what day of the week it was, since
"Monday" in the last sentence was intended to be after 3 days.

Since the response so far has been rather disheartening, I am going to
keep the deadline open until next Monday.

If we cannot get Board members interested in doing stuff or trying to
lead others to do stuff, we are effectively deciding to NOT have LLG do
much of anything towards any goals whatsoever.

I am becoming seriously discouraged whether LLG can survive as an
organization once I no longer lead it.  I'm not entirely sure that
enough people care, despite the discussions a few weeks ago on trying to
organize activities and means for different Lojban communities to
communicate and interact.
