I love to drive up to Wisconsin whenever I get the chance, even if it's just for one night. But when it's just for one night, that puts extra pressure on... Stopped here after a long 8 mile hike at Effigy Mounds, the reviews were good \u0026 we kept our fingers crossed they were right - they were! This place was... Happened across this when looking for a getaway from Chicago for our first anniversary weekend and it was the perfect choice! Not only did it get us clear... I was traveling through and wanted to eat at a local establishment. I enjoyed the deluxe skillet with sausage and my boyfriend ordered the meat eater... You can still order your meal from your car, but we never do. That just increases the chance of my truck looking like a pig sty! ....I have the same thing... the food is always good, and the service, but the place looks dirty, and greasy, u wonder if the inspector has ever been there....also we had a coupon they... I haven't been a fan of Chinese food until I tried their beef and broccoli. The restaurant is usually pretty empty and quiet. It's worth a shot! The manager hooked me up with free food during my cross country bike ride! Someone cleaned out my bank account and I didn't have any money. He was so great! Favorite stop when visiting Prairie du Chien.  Bar food fair as expected by the river, however they do a very good job with their preparation.  Had the Hand... I didn't know what to expect with this place, but it definitely exceeded any expectations I had! My husband and I feasted! Chicken pad thai for me... Thoroughly enjoyed the gnocchi with prawns! Had a wonderful, buttery, rich full flavor! Also enjoyed the Chorizo fries, but the one bummer was that they... I loved this place!  Lively atmosphere with a creative flair. I had the Zombie salad with chicken and raspberry vinaigrette dressing, which was delicious.... One of my favorite places in Des Moines.....Crab Rangoons are a must.....Pad see ew is amazing every time as well. I haven't been to Fawn's in a long time, so I decided to stop by here to satisfy my pho craving.  The last time I was here I scooped in my usual 1.5 scoops... I LOVE ME SOME GYROs. This is actually the place I went to when I first visited Des Moines 5 years ago, and I've never revisted it until yesterday!....Price:... Without question best sushi in Des Moines. The owner is a formally trained sushi chef. The fish is sooooo fresh every day that they're open and if you truly... So... this place is a tiny little hole in the wall in the Drake area. It looks sort of sketchy from the outside. It's one of those places that I probably... Love the combos! The soup is delicious and they have a good drink/beer menu.
