Next year???s flagship smartphone from Samsung is going to build on the South Korean company???s major hardware advantages and bring a new look at the world to the handset. The latest leak around the Galaxy S8 focuses on the new hardware that will be put into the camera.

The new camera technology will feature in the forward-facing camera of next year???s flagship. The actuator-drive autofocus techniques used to improve the speed and accuracy of pictures take by the rear camera will come to the selfie cam for 2017???s hotly anticipated smartphone (reports ET News). Samsung has stepped back from the ???megapixel race??? for the main camera over the last few years, relying on quality and reproduction to win out in head-to-head tests. That same drive will now be focused on the camera above the screen. Samsung has traditionally stuck with a five-megapixel fixed focus camera on the front of its leading smartphones for video calling and selfless. This stands in stark contrast to the evolution of the main camera at the back. Samsung has made huge strides in technology for the rear shooter, and the Galaxy S7???s camera is arguably the best of any mainstream smartphone in the world today. With that in-built advantage and respect for its image quality, it???s right that the South Korean company turns that to its advantage and builds up the prowess and recognition of the selfie camera on the Galaxy S8.

There was a worry that the debacle over the Galaxy Note 7 would damage Samsung???s standings with the consumer. While there was a short-term hit to revenue, and a raft of bad publicity, recent data suggests that the consumers??? collective memory will have forgotten the incendiary Note 7 by the time the Galaxy S8 is expected to be announced (which would be just before Mobile World Congress in late February 2017).

Time has burned away the bad tidings of the Note 7, and all that is left is the excitement of new features, improved specifications, and a smartphone that can build on the flawed beauty of 2016???s phablet.
