I didn't know what to expect with this place, but it definitely exceeded any expectations I had! My husband and I feasted! Chicken pad thai for me... I had my birthday dinner at Alba last night. My first time in to the restaurant. It was a Monday so it was pleasantly less busy. I wish I could remember our... One of my favorite places in Des Moines.....Crab Rangoons are a must.....Pad see ew is amazing every time as well. I love zombie burger and I brag about it all the time as an Iowa native...My favorite is the Zombie wedding cake shake: it's a non negotiable if I'm in the... I haven't been to Fawn's in a long time, so I decided to stop by here to satisfy my pho craving.  The last time I was here I scooped in my usual 1.5 scoops... Iowa is land locked,has a small airport, and there isn't a very large Japanese community.  That is the reality of eating sushi in Des Moines, and until you... As I stepped into The Olympic Flame, it felt like I left Iowa and entered Greece. Simplistic decor, all with a very authentic Greek and Mediterranean flair... Wow! How has it taken me so long to eat here?? 4 ladies. Each had something different. All loved everything! Good service. Great atmosphere! Terrific... So... this place is a tiny little hole in the wall in the Drake area. It looks sort of sketchy from the outside. It's one of those places that I probably... I was in town on business.  Stopped in and had a great burger,  Home fries potatoes,  and a beer.  Service was excellent, Price was reasonable, and food was... We stopped by Moons when we're in town for the Running With The Bears Marathon. The place has a lot of character, and an interesting history that dates back... Great service here! The food was really good, probably my favorite while in town. The beef stroganoff was really flavorful and homemade. The clam chowder... This is a surprisingly good restraurant for such a small town.  The woman who owns it bought some 'secret recipes\"  from a well known retired chef in town.... Have never had a bad sandwich here. ..Owner is wonderful and a very hard worker. ..It is a \"knook\"in the alley but worth visiting if you are a out of towner... We love this place!  So much, in fact, we wish it was opened everyday for lunch!  The food is rich and delicious... I have learned that,  in life, you are... UGH! My husband and I were so upset to have not eaten here sooner. SO on our last day in town, we finally looked up reviews and tried them out. Bottom line,... I Don't know where these 3 stars Are coming from But this is a Great Place you Cannot Pass up. Lots Of Charm. Fabulous Food. The Staff was phenominal. A...
