It would, or even "Braadleash".

There's no way round that problem. In Lojban, a short "i" is only used 
to break up consonant clusters that the speaker finds hard to pronunce 
(e.g. "zdani" can be pronounced "zidani") so it has no letter associated 
withi it (maybe in the future, when people are writing novels with 
characters speaking Lojban with different accents, it could be useful).
