But yes, camgusmis refers to Robin Lee Powell; it's formed from the rafsi of carmi+gusni+misno (intense+bright+fame), which is a translation of the name "Robin" into Lojban. I believe that Robin doesn't like the various obvious Lojbanisations of his name such as .robin. or .rabn. or the like and prefers .camgusmis., which is why I use that name for him. (And I further believe that of the "Robin"-based names, he dislikes .rabn. less since .robin. has inappropriate vowel sounds for the way he pronounces his name in English.) > >ji'a lu ma'oste li'u cu lujvo fo lu cmavo liste li'u .i ji'a lu > >gi'uste li'u .a lu gimste li'u cu lujvo fo lu gismu liste li'u > > > >ni'o mi nelcu'a zo gi'uste mu'i lo du'u lo te morna be fi zo gi'uste > >cu smimau lo te morna be fi zo ma'oste lo te morna be fi zo gimste > > > zo'o.oi di'u pidu'e lojban Robin explained what {ma'oste} means; I pointed out that the lujvo is formed from cmavo+liste, and also pointed out the words {gi'uste} and {gimste}, which both refer to the gismu list, being formed from gismu+liste. I prefer {gi'uste}, though, even though it's not the canonical form... but I think I explained that bit already in the message you quoted. mu'o mi'e .filip. -- Philip Newton
