That would yield more than 250 root words with the same letters and VV-diphthongs Lojban uses. Some less often used root-words could be made of two syllables. There are around 324 possible two-syllable combinations using only CV/CVV and only the C j ('j'V/'j''diphthong' + 'j'V/'j''diphthong'). Toki Pona? thanks, I'll check it out. = = = Original message = = = On Fri, 2005-03-25 at 17:22 +0100, lojban@shindra.com wrote: > Cool :D Lojban seems to be really gaining ground. > > I'd that chance is very small. > > I've spent a lot of time the last few days looking at various conlangs, and Lojban is still the best I've seen. Though I don't agree with the way the vocabulary is formed. It sure doesn't help me much in learning it. I'd be more in favor of an interrelated vocabulary, where, for example, the word for 'beautiful' is made of the words for 'sight' and 'good/positive', and the word meaning 'sight' is made of the words 'eye' and 'sense' or something like that. > Still, Lojban is great, seems highly professional. Do you realize how long words would get following your formula? Also, sounds like you'd enjoy toki pona. ___________________________________________________________ Sent by ePrompter, the premier email notification software.
