I certainly wouldn't say "I sympathize with you" in English to someone who I just wronged. I agree about COI by the way. (For those just joining us, that family of cmavo includes "hello", "goodbye", "please" and "thank you".) I expected a "sorry" cmavo to be in that group, and was surprised when there wasn't. -epkat
