But what is it that you like about Piers Anthony?
If it's the writing, then the translation would be
completely different.  If it's the story itself,
then perhaps you'd be OK.

The problem I find is that people keep trying to
translate superb writing and there is no audience
able to read their sophisticated writings.  We
desperately need simple, simple writing to get
people started.

Perhaps Asimov short stories.  His writing style
certainly is neither complex nor sophisticated.

We need simple, straight-forward, direct writing.
