I think one factor is that Lojban hasn't been used as much as many natlangs, so for many words with multiple options, no one option has ended up being the most common, by consensus, because people haven't spoken thousands and millions of words and hashed out which one they "liked best" (because they thought it most memorable, most accurate, most useful in terms of place structure, or whatever). mu'o mi'e .filip.
