Both can be the x1 of "za'i > melbi" or "zu'o melbi", pe'i. It's of course prefectly natural in Lojban to address absolutely anything, so it's trivial for "do" to mean "lo za'i melbi" and it's most certainly the case if you've just said "doi za'i melbi". doi nu jbota'a kei mi gleki do O event of speaking Lojban, I'm happy about you. I'm not sure whether "za'i melbi" is a valid description in Lojban of a "remna" or even of a "prenu" or a "pruxi", but I don't think that matters, because I think when we address each other in Lojban we are free to address each other from any perspective. We can address each other as animals, or as people, or we can speak to the states and processes that make up someone's ongoing unfolding. doi pu'u la .tijlan. jmive do'u do pu'u melbi O process of Tijlan living, you are a process of beauty. As to whether a "remna" or a "prenu" can be a state or a process, that may be more a philosophical than linguistic issue. I'm inclined personally to the view that any object considered at a point of time is a state, considered over its existence is an event, and considered in the midst of its interactions is a process. mu'o mi'e la stela selckiku
