hmmm, so does "X other than Y" imply that "Y"?  When I try to think of solid
examples it seems like it does, but looking at it in the form "X other than
Y" it looks like it really wouldn't.  It looks like it's saying "select some
X from some area excluding any Y".  Which certainly doesn't imply any
truthyness about "Y".
