"raiyn" is the same as "rai,yn". "aiy" is not a triphthong, but "ai" is a diphthong, so a syllable break is assumed after "ai". There is no list of triphthongs in the Book, but some people infer from "i,iai,i,iai,ion" that there are triphthongs. If there are triphthongs, then "amliau" is a word and "mliau" isn't; if there aren't, "amliau" breaks up and "mliau" is a word. ("mliau" has been proposed for "meow".)
