It's interesting that they = simplified the double articulation ( =D1=87 [=CA=A7] --> tc --> c ) but not the palat= alization ( =D0=BB=D1=8E [l=CA=B2u] --> liu --> liu ). To me, [t] in= [=CA=A7] sounds as much if not more distinct as [=CA=B2].
