  You are not crazy, BUT... If Sam were standing right there, and you
were for example petting him, it would be certainly understood that
you were referring to him both times.  If he were not there, you would
be safer saying "la sam cu pendo je gerku" or "la sam cu pendo gi'e
gerku" or "la sam cu pendo .i sy (or ri) gerku."

   As to your lojban:
"mi puza co'a mipyju'i"  Since you wanted "I'm a longtime lurker", use
"mi ze'u (/ze'a) mipyju'i"  That's what those interval tenses are for.

"lenu na'e cusku lo pamoi sumti pe lo brivla kei frica lenu na'e cusku
lo da'a sumti kei le ka smuni xu" -- you missed a "cu" (or "ku") here
before "frica" .   Also, use "(pa) lo drata" (or "pa bi'u") rather
than "lo da'a"  Because you want to ask if it's different than leavin
gout one of the other sumti.  What you in fact asking is if it's
different than leaving out all but one of the sumti in the brivla.

talking about the meaning  of the last sentence, not the sentence
itself.  (But you could leave out the third argument of "jimpe"
completely.  We know what you are talking about). Second, once again
you are missing a "cu" (or "ku") before "se smuni" (remember that
"kei" closes off an abstraction (nu/ka/du'u, etc.), but leaves it as a
selbri. You still need to terminate the "lo/le" in front of it which
turned that selbri into a sumti.)  Thirdly, rather than "sitna", which
is about quoting things, you probably want "te tavla" (talked about)
Fourthly, see note above about "lo da'a".  Fifthly, once again,
missing "cu"/"ku" before "se smuni"  I'm not quite sure what you mean
by " le smuvanbi sumti cu steci sumti" perhaps... "lo se claxu sumti
cu smuvanbi te jimpe"??

"mupli"  Not incorrect, but you can use the simpler "mu'a"

You're missing the apostrophe in " .a'o "

"ji'ape'u ko dragau le mi lojbo ku ionai"  ".ionai" is a noise that
means you are snorting derision at the phrase "le mi lojbo ku"  It
does not mean "shitty lojban".  Suggest instead saying "maljbo"( or
mabla lojbo) for "lojbo", if you want it said explicitly

  You don't need that "i" at the end.  In fact, it's pretty much
downright wrong.

  Curious.. how do you pronounce your name?  because the lojban says
"Ronorich", but the English says "Ranorith".  Which is correct?
