In both cases you might eat the apple in the future but the two cases looks different to me. I'm less fuzzy about the point contours like mo'u, c= o'a, co'i, etc... but pu'o, ca'o, and ba'o still don= 9;t seem very different from regular ba, ca, and pu respectively.
