Yep, [mama] is usually part of reduplicative babble demons= trated by infants. [m] is a common sound in most languages (and exists in p= retty much every language on the planet) so tends to be babbled a lot, and = often mistaken for a word ("mama").

How much Lojban are you speaking= to them? And what other languages are they hearing in their environment?
