Knowing when a new word is needed in the first place isn't easy, knowing what place structure a lujvo should get isn't easy, etc. "A gift" is {lo se dunda [ku]}. "God's gift" is slightly harder to say: {lo se dunda be lo cevni [ku] [be'o] [ku]}. "The people's victory" can be translated in a number of ways, but the most straightforward would be "the event that the people win". This would make the name {nu lo prenu cu jinga}. Other than the first one, these are all a little bit advanced, so don't fret too much if you're seeing grammar you don't know yet. mi'e la latro'a mu'o On Sat, May 17, 2014 at 9:29 AM, wrote: > I'm not sure if I got that question right, I just watched the YT video on > it. > > I'm trying to translate Joanna into lojban. > Joanna means 'God's gift', and God is cevni cev cei. "A gift" is {lo se dunda [ku]}. "God's gift&qu= ot; is slightly harder to say: {lo se dunda be lo cevni [ku] [be'o] [ku= ]}. I'm not sure if I got that question right, I just watc= hed the YT video on it.

I'm trying to translate Joan= na into lojban.
Joanna means 'God's gift', and God is= cevni cev cei. What's gift?

Also, as an example, if I use dunda as gift, would the = name be ceidu'a? Wouldn't that be God giver?

On another note, my name is Nick, and Nicholas means The people's vi= ctory.
person =3D prenu pre
win =3D jinga jig ji'a
So= could Nicholas be preji'a?

Thanks in advance!=

(possibly)-preji'a
