But if green is not green but just some abstract property, what would make
it more likeable than any other property? What properties does the property

Which is not very different from favoring green. Favoring green means that
given a choice between green stuff and other-color stuff you are more
likely to go with green stuff, other things being equal, right?

It's more precise, yes, but tanru usually are not metaphors, and "crino se
skari" is not metaphorical.
