Ah. Does the intrinsic boundary of a snail include or exclude its
shell, then?

The intrinsic boundary of a female teenager (and perhaps all children) extends to the range of her senses - the whole world centers on her, with the exception of parents (and sometimes boyfriends), who are "other". %^)
