Re: [jboske] ta'e/na'o

The version I was playing with, tentatively, would make "habitually" apply
directly to individuals (the only things that can have habits, I suppose) and
"typically" to masses.

The problem is that {ta'e} and {na'o} don't apply to sumti, they modify the whole bridi. Which mass or individual would be the one that has the habit or is typical? There could be a mass in x1 and an individual in x2 for example. We can only talk of typical or habitual events, and events don't really have habits. If I say {la djan ta'e stali le xelso}, "habitually, John stays in Greece", it is as much a habit of Greece as it is a habit of John. This event can happen habitually in an interval, if it repeats often enough. But in what other sense could it happen typically? Should we compare with all the people who stay in Greece, with all the places where John stays? With all stays of any people in any place?
