[jbovlaste] valve, switch

How would you say "valve" or "switch" in Lojban? I'm thinking of "x1 is a 
valve/switch directing/regulating flow of x2 among states x3". I looked 
up "valve" in vlasisku; it returned "ca'erslanu", which means "piston", but I 
don't see why "valve" is listed as a meaning. I think a valve could be 
considered a sort of vorme, but some valves have more than two entries or 
exits.
