Some lojbanists have expressed concern about the use of {zarci} in the sense of :
"A subdivision of a population considered as potential or actual buyers"
Here is my cut on this:
{zarci} is defined as "x1 is a market/store/exchange/shop(s) selling/trading (for) x2, operated by/with participants x3"
The selling/trading can be done at a single location (e.g. shop/store), an area where shops/stores are concentrated
(e.g. street market) or in multiple locations (as in the case of "a subdivision of a population"). Marketing itself
can be done throughout the whole spectrum - from subdivision of population to an individual store. So it seems to
me that the use of {zarci} is appropriate.
