As I understand it, the x1 of jgina is the data of the gene, the x2 is
its location (as broad as "in this person" or as specific as "at this
locus") and the x3 is the phenotype produced by that data in that
location.

A ginsmu could be specifically the protein coded for by a particular
bit of DNA or RNA, perhaps? :)
