You can't make a rafsi for "berbere" by dropping the final vowel, because that
would mean "north-north" (as in "bersunberberberti", which is N5°37'30'E). So
having different words "berbere", "berbero", and "berberi" is not a problem.
You can't make a rafsi for "skalduna" (Basque) by dropping the final vowel and
put it at the start of a lujvo, because the resulting word (e.g.
"*skaldunymapku") is a lujvo-like slinku'i. But you can put such a rafsi in
the middle of a word, as long as there is 'y' both before and after it.
You can make a rafsi for all type-3 fu'ivla, and various others, that end in a
single vowel by dropping it. So you can say "glaukyne'o", "bakrtyjipcyna'i"
(though Buffalo wings have nothing to do with buffaloes), or "klitykolmba".
And as in the PEG, you can make a lujvo from all of the above fu'ivla by
adding "'y" to them and following with a rafsi.
